On 15th November, a medical camp was organized at Ukkadam Housing Unit by Don Bosco Anbu Illam. The purpose of the camp was “Early Screening to Identify the Symptoms of Substance Abuse Among Children.†There were forty children and their parents attending the medical camp. Dr. Helana and Dr. Kiruthika, doctors from Government Hospital of Madukarai, took sessions and gave orientation to the parents and children. They listed-out symptoms of children who are getting used to substance and other addictions. Then the doctors met each child with his/her parents. They enquired the parents regarding the symptoms of the children and guided them. The medical camp was an eye-opener for many parents on the issue..
