Coimbatore Don Bosco Anbu Illam, along with the District Collectorate and Social Welfare Department organised a rally ‘Walk for Children’ on Children’s Day, 14th November 2023. The District Collector Mr. Kranthi Kumar Pati, IAS, flagged-off child-rights awareness rally. The rally began with the children’s day pledge from Collector’s Office and marched towards Race Course. Nearly 200 people along with District Child Protection Officer, Representatives from Coimbatore City children’s homes, NGOs, social workers and college students were participated. The rally concluded with a child protection awareness program performed by the staff of Don Bosco Anbu Illam staff. They performed street plays on various child right issues: child marriage, child labour, child sexual abuse and drug abuse..
